Experience & Background

I graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2000 at La Trobe University, Australia. Since then, I have worked across different settings in Melbourne, including clinical and administrative roles. My early career focus was acute trauma/accident care, particularly rehabilitation post-surgery/injury. I also spent a couple of years working in Project Management at the Department of Health in Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

In 2010, I moved to Hong Kong and commenced work at an international hospital, attending to clients in the Maternity and Orthopaedic wards. I provided manual therapy for clients with musculoskeletal issues, in addition to conducting Pilates training for a range of clients. These included antenatal and postpartum women, individuals affected by orthopaedic or soft tissue injuries and patients recovering post-surgery.

I enjoy learning and have completed numerous courses over my 21-year career, including Pilates Plus, Dry Needling and Kinesio taping. To expand my skills in the area of Women’s Health, I have completed post-graduate training in Sydney. I am fluent in both English and Cantonese.

Clinical Interests

I joined Posture Plus in 2015. My main interests include providing hands-on treatment and incorporating Pilates Plus method to treat clients with neck/back pain. Where applicable, I will also assist my clients with ergonomic advice to prevent repetitive injury from re-occurring.

Having 2 children recently has deepened my interest in treating prenatal and postpartum women. I enjoy helping women prepare their bodies for child birth, followed by helping them restore their bodies back to “before baby”. In addition, I recognise the importance of providing support on caring for a new-born, and facilitate return to work/ pre-pregnancy sports through applying Pilates Plus, which integrates specialist physiotherapy knowledge with the Pilates method.

I also have a special interest in Ergonomic evaluation and education. I have conducted numerous (virtual/in-person) lectures, and provided ergonomic/posture assessment for executives. Having worked as a physiotherapist in both clinical and office settings, this has given me a special appreciation of common workplace injuries and prevention strategies.

Personal Interests

Previously, I enjoyed team sports such as volleyball and dragon boating. However, now with 2 small children, while trying to stay active going hiking and swimming, the highlight of my day is watching Netflix once both kids are asleep!

Future Aims

My mission is to facilitate my clients to achieve their goals and optimal recovery through continuing professional development.
