Experience & Background
In 2010, I graduated from Keele University (UK) with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy and shortly afterwards, I returned to Keele to complete a full-time Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy. During this time, I was able to gain further skills including movement analysis and retraining, dynamic ultrasound and acupuncture. After receiving my physiotherapy qualifications, I worked part-time as a fitness instructor, teaching group exercise classes to various ages of adults and children. This allowed me to pursue my other passion of dance and exercise. In 2015, I decided to further my studies in the USA through the University of St Augustine, Florida. After completing courses in pharmacology amongst others, along with the National Physical Therapy Exam, I achieved my licence to practise Physical Therapy in Florida.
My physiotherapy career began in the NHS (UK) where I worked in several different clinical areas, such as surgical, cardiac and orthopaedic, across a variety of acute care and rehabilitation settings. This gave me a great basis to help understand the difficulties that people face when dealing with acute injuries and pain, and the importance of early rehabilitation. After moving to Hong Kong in 2019, I decided to transition into private practice, where I can now utilise these skills amongst others. Since joining Posture Plus, I have completed the Pilates Plus training to further develop my knowledge and skills around exercise-based rehabilitation.
