I value the trust a client puts in me, and I am a firm believer that each client is unique and hence the treatment is very individualised. I want to help my clients to understand their own body and how to be the best version of themselves.

Experience & Background

I was born in Taiwan, but the family immigrated to South Africa when I was young. I went through the education system in South Africa and graduated as a physiotherapist in 2005. I have always been very sports orientated, and that led me to specialise in the various musculoskeletal injuries that one faces from everyday sports and activities. In South Africa, I worked in a musculoskeletal clinic with clients ranging from elite athletes to weekend warriors. I was also a part of a medical team for football and rugby teams on tours. I had the pleasure of working with the South African Ballet Company treating the dancers and was chosen to be the backstage physiotherapist for a popular TV show South Africa Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 and 2008.

I moved to London in 2009 where I continued honing my skills and added acupuncture and running analysis to my expertise. I continued with my sporting passion and worked with athletes in badminton and tag rugby league.

I started my new venture in Hong Kong in 2023 and was invited to be the courtside physiotherapist at the Victor Badminton Open in Hong Kong 2023. I was also selected to be the touring physiotherapist for the Hong Kong Men’s Netball team during their tour to Singapore.

Clinical Interests

I’m particularly interested in core control, lower limb injuries and biomechanics. Being a keen sportsman, I’m always looking at mobility, stability and movement patterns. Everyone’s biomechanics are so different, making it an interesting area to analyse, diagnose and treat.

I enjoy treating the variety of areas of the body. I find it very interesting how different things can be connected and it is up to me to find the link and the solution. I also have vast experience in treating back and neck pain due to the modern-day lifestyle and also have a keen interest in treating the lower limbs. As a keen player of racket sports and golf, I am also fully aware of the injuries often associated with upper limbs and the biomechanics required for complex movements.

I now have over 18 years of experience and is highly skilled in acupuncture, dry needling, taping techniques and electrotherapy amongst other hands-on modalities.

Personal Interests

I can say that I’ve probably tried every sport you can think of under the sun. I particularly love playing badminton, squash, golf and basketball! I was a junior national player in badminton and competed in national competitions. I believe by participating in various activities it helps our body to develop an all-round wellness and reduce the risk of injuries.

Future Aims

I feel that my physiotherapy knowledge can add a unique dimension of support to everybody that is active. I would love to be involved in the sports that I participates in and to provide a specialised, targeted assessment and treatment plan that is unique to that particular sport.
