Experience & Background

Finalist in the BEST OSTEOPATH category of Expat Living’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2023

I studied Osteopathy in the UK and after graduating in 2018 I gained invaluable experience through working in private sports and pediatric clinics, as well as in public hospitals. During my internship in France, I learned to integrate patien diversity into my treatment approaches, adapting specifically to individual clients’ needs.

I traveled to Asia in 2018 and after working in Kuala Lumpur I arrived in Hong Kong in 2019. I commenced work at Posture Plus in 2021 in order to work with a group of like-minded health professionals.

My main focus is on the importance of realigning structures such as the spinal column from the base of the skull to the pelvis, as well as improving the function of the musculoskeletal system. I believe that Osteopathy’s holistic approach allows the consideration of both predisposition and lifestyle factors leading to pain and dysfunction.

In my treatments, I use various techniques such as joint manipulation, deep tissue, and myofascial release, as well as neural treatment. My approach takes into consideration all the systems of the body as osteopathy is a holistic medicine, and includes of course the musculoskeletal system, but also the neurological, gastrointestinal, and lymphatic systems.

The wide range of techniques allows the treatment of each system with accuracy and without being invasive. Joints are usually treated with manipulations if misaligned and dysfunctional, but also with soft tissue techniques if connective tissues like ligaments or tendons are affected. However, the neurological system for example will be approached with a more subtle touch due to its vulnerability and sensitivity, similar to your digestive and respiratory systems.

This holistic medical management grants the treatment an illness completely, considering all its aspects, and thanks to this diversity I can treat a very wide range of pathologies and injuries, acute or chronic.

Clinical Interests

I have a particular interest in the treatment of acute or traumatic injuries, the restoration of joint mobility and the health of the soft tissues (ligament, tendons, muscles) surrounding it.

Personal Interests

I have enjoyed swimming since early childhood and now use Hong Kong’s open water to do so. I also play basketball and the drums. As a lifelong and profound dog lover, I spend most of my free time fostering rescue puppies or running after my own canine friend.

Future Aims

I would like to focus on researching how to prevent injuries from occurring in the first place. In recent years I have noticed for example an increase in acute shoulder injuries (tendinitis, subluxations, slap lesions, sprains, bursitis, etc…) and nonspecific lower back pain which is often due to an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Formulating and encouraging a relevant and specific physical routine for my clients is the first step in their recovery.
