Services:

My mission is helping people to understand their conditions and guiding them through their recovery. I believe that it is important to treat the cause of a condition rather than only the symptoms.

Experience & Background

I never thought that I would work as a physiotherapist and got specialized in Sports, I was a clumsy kid who was not sporty at all. During a summer holiday in school, I was given a chance to work as a volunteer in the public hospital and I was helping out within the physiotherapy department. I could see the improvement of someone’s mobility, sports performance and quality of life through the work from the physiotherapists and I was amazed! I did more research about physiotherapy since then and I was given the opportunity to study physiotherapy in the University of Manchester in the UK and I graduated in 2001.

I returned to work in Hong Kong as a physiotherapist in 2001, where I gained extensive experiences in treating a wide range of conditions in both public and private settings. In 2009, I attained a Master’s degree with distinction in Sports Physiotherapy in Hong Kong. Upon its completion, I was invited to join the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI), to promote the use of Pilates exercises in injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance enhancement for elite athletes

I became a certified Pilates practitioner with Polestar Pilates Education in 2011 and I completed my Pilates Plus training at Posture Plus in 2013. I have been teaching Rehabilitation and Conditioning Pilates for more than 14 years.

Clinical Interests

I treat people from all backgrounds and I am interested in treating office workers with postural issues. Besides, I enjoy using my work experience with the elite athletes to help people to recover from their injuries, to return to their sports activities and to reduce their chance of re-injury. I like to empower my clients to achieve a better well being physically and mentally!

Personal Interests

In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, gym, scuba diving and travelling, I become a more active person and not so clumsy nowadays.

Future Aims

I would like to advance my knowledge in treating people with movement dysfunction. I think it will enhance the Pilates training for my clients.
